The bio
A clinician’s clinician.
Dr. Erick Kaufman earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine, with additional training spanning Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology. He went on to serve as an Assistant Professor at the OU College of Medicine, where he led work on clinical quality and patient safety.
That background — academic medicine, a focus on systems and safety, and a refusal to treat patients as a panel of numbers — is the foundation of Holistically Rx. He founded the practice to deliver the kind of attentive, root-cause care that a seven-minute appointment can never provide.
Today he leads a board of licensed providers across weight, hormones, longevity, and diagnostics — all working from the same conviction that “normal” labs and an optimized life are not the same thing.
The why
“Most people aren’t sick — they’re running below their baseline and being told that’s fine. My job is to find why, and fix the cause.”
